3370 Renewable Resources Investment Program

The Renewable Resources Investment Program receives 30 percent of the royalties deposited in the Geothermal Resources Development Account. The state receives these monies from the federal government for geothermal leases. Funds from the Bosco-Keene Renewable Resources Investment Fund may be expended only for the following: fish habitat improvements; forest resource improvements; urban forestry projects; agricultural soil drainage and soil erosion programs; agricultural, industrial and urban water conservation; wildland fire protection; and coastal resource enhancement projects.
