The mission of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is to enhance public safety through safe and secure incarceration of offenders, effective parole supervision, and rehabilitative strategies to successfully reintegrate offenders into our communities.
The CDCR is organized into the following programs:
- Corrections and Rehabilitation Administration
- Juvenile: Operations and Offender Programs; Academic and Vocational Education; Health Care Services. Juvenile Parole Operations was assumed by the Division of Adult Parole Operations in 2011-12.
