The mission of the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) is to provide statewide leadership, coordination, and technical assistance to promote effective state and local efforts and partnerships in California's adult and juvenile criminal justice system, including providing technical assistance and coordination to local governments related to realignment.   • The Budget proposes $109.1 million ($16.9 million General Fund and $92.2 million other funds) for the establishment of the Board of State and Community Corrections through transfer of the Corrections Standards Authority from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and certain local assistance grant programs from the California Emergency Management Agency.
